When trying to decide which brand to purchase your first “K” truck from, you have plenty of great options available. Some of the most common choices are the Honda Acty, Subaru Sambar, Suzuki Carry, and Daihatsu Hijet. Below is our interpretation of each model to help you decide which brand to purchase your mini truck from.

Suzuki Carry:

The Suzuki Carry is often referred to as the most “rugged” model of the mini-truck options. The engine in these rad trucks is under the front seats. This option will provide you with increased off-road performance. Typically, older generations of the Carry are geared more towards off-roading, hauling loads, and farming, With this being said, carry models are quite nice and cater much more to all-around usage.

Subaru Sambar:

The Subaru Sambar combines off-road capabilities with on-road comfort well for a “K” truck. Unlike other options, the Subaru has a rear-mounted engine, keeping the cabin far away from noise. Another notable feature is the independent rear suspension. Overall, the Sambar is typically the most popular truck of the lot. With the large aftermarket for these trucks being very large and the overall appearance being quite desirable, the Sambar is definitely a great choice.

Honda Acty:

The Acty has its engine placed more centrally than the Sambar, for example. This truck is equipped with real time 4WD, which will provide you with great on-road and off-road performance in whatever weather condition you find yourself in. The Acty is equipped with a straight axel at the rear end, which is slightly different than some of the other trucks. We find the Acty to be almost as popular as the Sambar. You get fantastic Honda reliability as well as a stout aftermarket to make your truck how you like it. The Acty is a big hit with us here at Evolution Exports.

Daihatsu HiJet

The HiJet is the smallest of the mini truck options. Because of this, the interior has less space than its competitors. This option is best suited for light delivery jobs or hauling. It is extremely fuel efficient. Nowadays, Daihatsu is owned by Toyota.
